Dr. Jack Aiello is a psychology professor at Rutgers University. In addition to being a member of the Graduate Psychology Department, he is also a member of the Graduate Faculty in the Industrial Relations and Human Resources and contributes to the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology's program in Organizational Psychology.

Dr. Aiello received his Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. He has a Masters degree in Communications from Queens College and a Bachelor's of Business Administration from City College of New York.

His professional experience includes teaching undergraduate and graduate level classes. He teaches Organizational and Personnel Psychology, Intro to I/O Psychology, Social Psychology of Organizations, Research Methods in Social Psychology and the Dynamics of Small Groups. He has been the coordinator of the Industrial/ Organizational Psychology Interest Group and Social Psychology Doctoral Program. He has been awarded an ASEE Distinguished Summer Faculty Fellowship in the U.S. Navy's Organizational Systems Department at the Navy Personnel Research and Development Center in San Diego and is an elected fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.

He has published more than 50 articles and has given more than 200 addresses at professional meetings and business organizations. His research interests include: leadership, stress, social facilitation, electronic performance monitoring, telecommuting, feedback, privacy, supervisory communication style, social justice and others. His research team has been involved in doing literature searches and meta-analysis coding as well. Topics of literature search include privacy legislation, performance feedback, social facilitation, computer monitoring and others.

Dr. Aiello has been involved with numerous consulting assignments with major U. S. corporations such as AT&T and State Farm Insurance along with his academic career. He has worked with Roosevelt Thomas, The American Institute for Managing Diversity, and K. Iwata Associates to develop and then deliver various diversity programs to organizations. Other clients of his include: Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Bell Communications Research, Dell Computer Corporation, Eastman Kodak, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Perkin-Elmer Corporation, and Rockwell International.
